“So What Do You Do For Work?”

I’ve recently passed my 1 year mark of being self-employed, and not a day goes by that I don’t have to go into a 20 minute explanation of what I do, and who I work for. ย And while I normally enjoy those discussions, and just finished a post on that particular topic, I thought I was would share some key points of those conversations.

ย WHEN PEOPLE TELL ME THAT THAT I HAVE THE EASIEST JOB IN THE WORLD (after seeing me work 16 hours days 7 days a week).

  1. I believe the quote is do something you love and you will never work a day in your life. I may be paraphrasing, but the message is it is not work if you love it.

  2. Arrested Development is so great… I need a post like this every once in a while. Thanks for lightning up my day. Oh, and congratulations on making it to one year, that is a great accomplishment.

  3. Haha awesome! Congratulations on the one year mark. You should come up with a response that will stop them dead in their tracks and shut them up.

  4. This is a great post because that is a question that many of us have to answer every day. The worst is when it’s with our family. Congrats on your 1 year anniversary. I am going to share this post Friday on our Dinks Finance weekly roundup. Have a great weekend Marissa.
